Plot Summary: A cop tries to save the Mumbai city from the unknown disaster within 25 days.

Star Performance: Saif Ali Khan as Sartaj Singh is flawless. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is always great. Pankaj Tripathi has more screen time from the last season and it is a treat to the eyes to watch Nawaz and Pankaj Ji, the two powerhouses of acting under one frame. Surveen Chawla surprises with a powerful performance. The two new entry Kalki Koechlin and Ranvir Shorey are also good and bring some freshness to the series. Neeraj Kabi as Inspector Parulkar is good. Aamir Bashir, Anupriya Goenka, Samir Kochhar, Chittaranjan Tripathy, Jaipreet Singh all were good in their roles. Jatin Sarna as Bunty as limited screen time in this season.

Script Analysis(story, Screenplay, Dialogues): The web series is based on Vikram Chandra 2006 Novel of the same name. The story of Season 2 continues from where season 1 was ended. Inspector Sartaj Singh is still trying to solve the mystery of saving the city from the unknown disaster with the 13 left for the D-day. The screenplay is going back and forth with the Gaitonde Flashback story and Sartaj Singh present-day situation. The story is tight and will keep you at the edge of your seats. Every character big or small has significance to the narrative. The only issue with the screenplay is continuing back and forth between past and present where sometimes it is unclear in which period is the narrative taking place. Dialogues are good with the bundle of Hindi slangs. Also, there is hardly any nude scenes as there were in the first season. As this season is more focus on Gaitonde downfall as the first season was more focused on his rise in the crime world. There are also uses of the current political situation of our country and the historical events which fit perfectly within the storyline.

Technical Aspect(direction, Background Scores, Music): The direction of Anurag Kashyap and Neeraj Ghaywan is outstanding. They had captured the essence of Mumbai present and past scenes very well. The background score is good. Cinematography is also great. The visuals during the night scenes are clear. The series does not have a musical number but had used some old songs in the background. Web series give the Anurag Kashyap the freedom to present the narrative in the way he likes to present as there is no involvement of the censorship board of India on web series.

Verdict: Another milestone for India's web series. Definitely, a must-watch.  And who knows they might be season 3 on the card?

Who may like it: Fans of Anurag Kashyap, First Season and crime thrillers.
